High-tech solutions for HVACR
For processing all manifold tubes, the technological solutions developed by SMI are the FRC work centre for bars and the FTC drilling, END CLOSING, and cutting system.
The FRC 900-R4000 MANIFOLD DRILLING MACHINE is a CN centre equipped with 4 electronically controlled axes. With its large-capacity tool holder (max 16 stations), the piece may be drilled (by removal or friction), milled, and cut. With the specifically developed pre-processing SW package and 3D view of the piece being processed, programming is extremely easy and intuitive.
The FTC work cell, on the other hand, is the ideal solution for maximising automation when processing manifolds. It consists of three units controlled by a single central interface, and is used to produce manifolds that are closed on one end, drilled, and cut to size without intermediate handling. The END CLOSING MACHINE may be coupled independently, when it is taken beyond the processing area of the DRILLING MACHINE.
SMI MANIFOLD DRILLING MACHINES are equipped with an intuitive graphical interface and are prepared for integration in smart factory systems.
