Countless deformations from coils
SMI offers two families of machines for rotational tube end forming: BPR and BSR. Both types deform the end of the tube with heat, which is created by friction between the tools and the material being processed. The unique shape and movement of the tooling enables the entire operating field of the machine to be used, using a very small number of tools.
The END CLOSING MACHINES in the BPR series are used to close the end of copper tubes flat but not air tight.
The BSR series, on the other hand, with its combination of two controlled, interpolated movements, is able to close the end in flat, spherical, elongated, tapered, grooved, or flanged shapes.
In their basic configuration, these machines are used to process copper tubes. However, the accessories and specifically developed modification kits also allow for processing of aluminium, K65, and steel tubes.
The system may also be equipped with servomotors or automation for non-supervised operation.
Custom accessories are available for the machine based on the production needs (kit of quick-change clamps, unit for closing predrilled tubes, supports for processing very long or extremely short tubes).
The END CLOSING MACHINES are equipped with an extremely intuitive and easy-to-navigate graphical interface and are prepared for integration into smart factory systems.
